100 Best chefs in the world 2020

The Le Chef compilation of the 100 best chefs in the world for 2020 has been released with chef Mauro Colagreco from the Mirazur restaurant in Menton, France named the best chef in the world.

This year the top three places in the list are dedicated to French based chefs with chef Christophe Bacquié from Restaurant Christophe Bacquié being named second, and last year’s winner, Arnaud Donckele from La Vague d’Or, following up in third.

French chefs dominate the top 10 with six of the world’s best chefs listed in France, with Mauro Colagreco, Christophe Bacquie, Arnaud Donckele, Emmanuel Renaut, Laurent Petit and Arnaud Lallement all taking top positions. 

French chefs retain the most places on the historically French influenced list with 30 ranked chefs, Spain is in 2nd place with 11 ranked chefs, tied with Japan.
