Two Michelin star culinary event

Sofitel Warsaw Victoria is delighted to introduce a special event that is sure to be the talk of the town. In February 2015, Sofitel Warsaw Victoria will host two-Michelin-starred chef, MOF, Olivier Nasti, from France to bring you the culinary experience of a lifetime!

The culinary journey will take place at Le Victoria Brasserie Moderne and will involve six stages, including lunch and dinner representing the masterpieces of this high-profile chef, who will introduce you to the authentic flavours of his region. These 7-course themed lunches and dinners, highlighting savoury haute cuisine, will delight your taste buds and excite your senses, are a promise of a truly memorable dining experience with friends and family.

Chef Olivier Nasti, Meilleur Ouvrier de France 2007

Cooking is his passion nourished by years of apprenticeship with Jean Schillinger in Colmar, with Olivier Roellinger in Cancale and then with the Haeberlin family at the Auberge de l’Ill in Illhaeusern– restaurants and chefs distinguished by the seal of quality. Rigour and the highest standards are essential to Olivier Nasti, who entered and won the famous Meilleur Ouvrier de France competition in 2007. This distinction expresses his great determination, the mastery of his art, his will to explore and his persevering character.

To be named Meilleur Ouvrier de France (best craftsman of France), like all prizes, is an achievement that has proved Olivier Nasti’s culinary artistry thanks to which he invents techniques that are rarely used in routine cooking practice. Combined with his culinary tastes, it allows him to create real masterpieces.

Olivier Nasti manages the 2 Michelin starred restaurant Le Chambard in Kaysersberg in the north-eastern part of France. In 2007, he was awarded the prestigious title of ”Un des Meilleurs Ouvriers de France”.

This is a prestigious contest for professionals, organised every four years in France under the official patronage of the French Ministry of Labour and the President of France. This award for special abilities is unique in the world. In the competition, the candidate craftsmen are given a limited amount of time and basic materials/ingredients, not only to create a masterpiece, but to do so with a view to approaching perfection. The chosen method, the organization, the act, the speed, the know-how and the respect for the rules of the trade are assessed by the jury just as much as is the final result.

The winning artisan keeps the title of the Best Craftsman of France for life, with the indication of the speciality and the year in which the title was awarded. This prestigious title is equally recognised by professionals and the wider public in France.
